On September 18th, six African immigrants were killed in Castelvolturno, a small town north of Naples. They were standing outside a store selling ethnic goods. Police suspect a dispute over drug trafficking.
Few days ago 3 people belonging to the Neapolitan mafia (Camorra) were arrested believed to be responsible for the September 18th murders. They are considered among the 100 most wanted criminals in Italy. On October 4th the Italian military, in order to have better control of the territory, as part of a large operation, deployed 500 troops.
