The progress in communications has become an efficient tool for the “globalisation” –we live in a world without “borders or boundaries“—and the increase and perfection of transports, together with other factors, make this possible, the “globalisation” phenomenon: a unique economic system around the world, distinguished by the Internationalisation of Trade –everywhere in the world we receive the same goods and we consume the same products—and the Internationalisation of Production –the elements of any product with a minimum complexity are made in different countries. And in this complex world, transport is decisive, and within transport, road transport. Thousands of lorries drive along our motorways and roads, driving through towns, cities, countries and continents. Thousands of men and women, leading a lorry, are the main characters of this little part, which makes possible that complex reality affecting on us: “globalisation”. The “Drivers” project attempts to cover the most human aspects in this profession.  (More) ...
