Robert Nez, 77. Private First Class in the 82nd Airborn division. He was forced into the Army, and was parachuted in the night of June 6th, 1944 in Saint-Marie-Eglise, Normandy. He was wounded and captured by the Germans who put him in jail in Reims. After 64 days, he escaped and joined his division. "In prison, the Germans thought I was Japanese. When I told them that I was an American Indian, they beat me up". All he wanted was to capture Hitler, to cut him off his moustache, beacause for the navajos Hitler was "the man who smelt his moustache", which means a bad and cruel man. Shocked by the war, Robert has had nightmares for many years. He was also an alcoholic. (Robert Nez died in February 2004. Robert's last wish was him to be able to go to Normandy to attend the celebrations for the 60th anniversary.)
