One of the oldest performnce of the Ludruk show in Irama Budaya Theater in Surabaya, prepare her costumes and make up to the coming show. She is a waria (how are called transgender in Indonesia) who lives in the same theater as she preformance, even the show only runs twice a week, the transgender have built a community to stay together, proteccting themselve from the Muslim authorities who wouldn´t approve their way of life. They prefer to live in a 2 by 2 meters room, where they can act and be the person they are, than hideing in the streets of Surabaya for being transvesti
