Viriunaveteri, Venezuela. A Yanomami shaman watching a tribal dance. In his mouth he has tobacco. He also took the hallucinogenic drug Joppo. Yoppo. The village of Viriunaveteri consists of 15 huts around a muddy square. It's situated in the Venezuelan Amazone several days by boat from the nearest town. This community on the banks of the Casiquiare is one of the few Yanomami villages that actually has some contact with the outside world. Most other tribes live deeper in the jungle.
